Default Best '80's classic synth tones from PT plug in pack

I am looking for the BEST Journey, Lover boy and Van Halen synth tones using some of the basic plug-in's that come with the protools bundle. Any recommendations or settings to get that tone?

Thanks!

Korg Legacy collection just came out.

That have a lot of that timeframe’s tones

$149, and they also run standalone (sans PT)

Xpand2 has a large selection of various synths and it comes with every version of PT. If you have access to samples(lots of free ones out there) you can use them in Structure Free which is also provided as a base plug in

Did everyone but one person miss the part about wanting to use stock VIs included wth Pro Tools?

You’ll need to program you’re own with Vacuum or find some samples to use in Structure Free.

You might get lucky with Xpand and find a patch or two to your liking, but there’s not a great deal of tweaking that can be done to create a sound from scratch.

^^Sardi is exactly right. The OP needs to use his ears and create his own patches.

No I didn’t miss it, I knew he wasn’t going to like what he found in PT’s included arsenal.

If he wants the sounds I believe he is going to have to pay.

But yes, included is XPand2 and Vacuum. Also hybrid is really nice but you have to know how a synth works to get the most out of it.
