Default Corrupt Guitar Plugin

Ok, I know it's old software but it is / was good. Le8 on 64 bit Win 7. Usually fine.

The problem is the guitar plugin turns into a space invaders type effect.

I thought this was a hard drive issue on the old computer.

Now using a different (new) computer. Reloaded Pro tools. Same problem with imported old track. There is only this file on the whole computer beyond Pro tools and system files.

Ok. So I created a new track on the new computer - same "space invaders" problem happens. What?! is going on?...

I can't quite understand where the problem originates. I thought this may have been an old problem easily fixed on a new computer. But corruption is still there and now I'm as puzzled as a jig saw on how to fix the thing.

Anyone have any ideas? Much appreciated.

OK slight update and could be useful for any other poor soul with this problem.

In Xpand I removed the guitar sound in box A, changed it to another . This worked. Put the old sound in box C. That works. Put it back to box A. And it's still working.

Hopefully this is over. It just needed a little shifting of sounds back and forth. It may be due to a old hard drive problem where none of this worked but the effect carried over into the file prior to being imported into a new session...

Did you try using a bigger buffer size?
