preamp routing
If I am using an outboard preamp, should I take advantage of the XLRS on DIGI inputs 1 and 2 or would it be best to bypass the digi preamp on these inputs and choose another set of inputs?
BTW, I have the Behringer Tube UltraGain. Any comments on this unit? |

Re: preamp routing
Crushed, it would be best to use one of the TRS inputs on the rear of the 001. You normally would not want to double the pre-amp
on a signal, unless that is the sound you are looking for. If your pre does not have trs outs, you can purchase a xlr-to-trs cable. As far as the unit is concerned, i have a behringer ultragain pro, it has one 12AX7 russian tube, its extremely transparent. phase reverse, EQ, phantom power...i only paid $150 for it, 2 channels...its a different sound, not the 1st pre i reach for.. I think your model is a higher end one? peace sdf |
