Default Fan comes on after update to Sierra

Just tossing this out to see if anyone else is having an issue. I updated to Sierra last night and been getting the fan coming on/off a good bit when running ProTools. Doesn't happen with other programs. I reset PRAM and unplugged the Mac for 30 seconds, checked the disk with Disk Utility. No change. I checked with Apple and, other than an having me check with AVID, they recommend reinstalling Sierra just in case that is the issue. I'm a long time Mac and PT guy and the last time something like this happened it was due to the Kernal Task thing and was related to my Digi003R I had back then. I'm currently on a Focusrite Clarett 2Pre.

Anyone seeing this issue? Perhaps is an isolated thing that I'll figure out, but wanted to check.

Re-installing as in install to empty hard drive as you should have done in the first place.

Wouldn't hurt to ask Focusrite whether they have seen this or not. Might also be a ThunderBolt issue, but I doubt it.
