Slate taking on PT would be like your neighborhood mom and pop store taking over Ralphs. Completely different leagues.

To me... AVID selling ProTools off = absurd... (at lest for many years)

I can't imagine how a company that had such trouble updating half a dozen plug-ins to AAX would tackle pro tools. They don't have even a fraction of the required resources.
