Default OT reccommendations for notation programs

I want to be able to print as sheet music, some of the MIDI track I record in protools. In particular, when I am writing horn parts for my big band I would like to be able to transpose the notes for B flat and E flat horns. As well as being able to print drum score and piano score.
I don't need anything fancy as this is mainly just to be able to give notation to the players in my band.

I just bought notepad plus from finale and it kinda works but I find it pretty limiting. Any suggestions for a basic intuitive and inexpensive program that will work in OS X?

try notability!!! i own finale and sibelius3 but this program rules them all! there's absolutely no limits in this application. if you can think of a score, or way of notating music, Notability will make it happen!!!

Melody Assistant is a $20 Shareware program that might be enough for some of what you need:

I have Finale, so I haven't tried this one. Just saw it on VersionTracker.
