no grid arrows on i book with PT free

maybe i've missed the obvious, but i can't get to the grid + nudge values arrows on my i book, using PT fre.e. have expanded the window to max, dragged the window as far as it will go, but can only get as far as the grid box, but NOT to the value arrows, AAArgh!, not the easiest way to edit!, any ideas?. If it's a genuine problem any plans for a fix Digi?.
