Default Hi, I'm back

I'd just like to say I had surgery for cancer years ago, I lost my really nice studio but saved a lot of my digital equipment. I'm up and about again and putting together a portable studio using a Tascam DM-4800 with the Tascam 32 I/O Firewire card. I went from Pro Tools 10. something to 10.3.10 (I think this is as far as I can go on ver. 10) I'm using a Pentium Dual Core @ 3.20 GHz w/ 4 GB Ram on a 32 bit Windows.
To my recollection this system ran like a charm on earlier PT versions but seems to be freezing a lot... any Ideas? Computer too old?

EDIT: I forgot to mention, if I go to a new computer I will have to purchase a different firewire card. Will PT 10 work with Windows 10 and a Quad Core with 8 gigs?
