Default Non-Admin Accounts Causing Strange Behavior in PT8HD

Hi

Is anyone having problems when you use PT8HD with a non-admin account?

I have setup a main account which is an admin acct, and non-admin sub-accounts for the engineering staff that uses the studio machine. I've setup parental controls, (you haven't met some of the staff!) to limit access to sensitive areas of the machine.

So far PT8 has shown some strange behavior which i can't really explain. Most of them are glitches with the GUI, certain functions disappear, prefs not sticking, etc...I was thinking the errors might be related to permissions getting screwed up, but I think there's something else going on. There have also been a few neo-assertion bombs, and some workspace glitches.

On top of that it seems that prefs from sessions created on other PT rigs are manifesting onto the local machine. For example, on our studio machine I cleared the usual pref files and started PT. The windows were at default locations and sizes. I didn't save that new test session to keep the prefs defaulted. Then I opened a session from a different rig. Lo and behold; the prefs from the rig that session was created on showed up on the "zeroed" PT rig. Is there a function in PT8 that tries to keep prefs with the sessions? This would be a cool function...BUT if those prefs are corrupted, how to we trash them since I can't seem to find those prefs w/in the session folders? Does that old "Import Session Data" trick work in PT8?

Anyway, thanks in advance for your replies!
