Advise about near field monitors

How can affect the imput sensitivity the relation with the other group of monitors? It will change how the speaker receive the line input? or the balance between the JBLs and Mackies? I mean different sensitivity is going to be ending on different kind of frequency response to the same line level?

I may have the opportunity to pick up another pair of used Mackie mr8 MkIII to add to my actual Mackie mr8 MkII for the price of 2 and 1/2 lsr305p mkII, for the money to me is a better deal, but i was looking for something smaller and for the 5.1 to be all the same kind and version. Do you think that have five mackies mr8 would be better than 5 jbl lsr305p mkII? (I have a sub that will be added to extend the bass response and have a "proper" 5.1 monitoring)

I'd like to clarify something before it really gets off the rails. In my post which I quote above I mentioned the 308's were considered by some to be large for nearfields. Bob Olhsson left out that I was talking about nearfield monitors and made it seem like I was talking about all monitors. I should have corrected/mentioned this earlier but with the Christmas holidays and such I missed it. My error on that part.

Also, beware of kick drums with semi open front and padding inside. When my daughter was young she went thru a couple of days of anguish, and then, for christmas, we got a visit from the last band to record at my studio, and she got her cat back safe.
