Extreme Noob question...plugins
Ok, so how exactly do I go about installing AND removing plugins for Pro Tools. I am running 7.4 le and Intel Mac.

For installing, pretty much all plug-ins have 'installers' - little applications that you run that puts everything in their correct places.
For removing, it depends greatly on the plug-in. To just stop it from showing up in ProTools, you can move any .dpm files out of the "Library->Application Support->Digidesign->Plug-Ins" folder to the "Plug-Ins (Unused)" or delete them if you're really sure of it. Check out the thread called "General Troubleshooting for PTLE 6 and 7" thread near the top of the forum for more complete info on removing demo plug-ins and other unwanted bits and pieces, as well as some good OS X optimization tips. |
