Clarify upgrade with PT 12 Perpetual License

I received my free upgrade to PT 12 as a student with the 4 years of free upgrades. That ended in early November. I've still been receiving updates (12.3 and 12.4) through the updater, but not in my Avid account. Obviously I have a perpetual license for 12, but do I need to sign up for the $99 annual upgrade plan or will I continue to receive PT 12 upgrades and can sign up in the future?

I've read through threads, I've search the forums, and I've even tried the online chat with someone from Avid's webstore to no avail. The webstore rep tried to get me to sign up for a subscription despite my constant reminders that I have a perpetual license. Normally this would be straight forward, but it seems that the free student upgrades complicates matters.

Otherwise you can purchase the Upgrade Plan or Upgrade and Support Plan from http://shop.avid.com/ccrz__ProductDe...ku=DYNAPA20003

sorry that doesn't make sense... if you have pro tools 12 already why would you need to buy pro tools 12 again? if you read the site that you linked from avid it says about versions of pro tools 9/10/11 and sacrificing your license for them...
