Will there be an Avid S2

Well I think my search is over...
10 motorised faders, LED metering, built like a tank, works with all major DAW’s connects via USB and is priced at just £539!

So whats that supposed to be? If it is the Softube fader 1 we have that and it aint that sweet. The damn screwholes of the Console1 and the Fader doesn’t lineup in the middle where you see it most and makes the whole thing look rough and not great built and whoever didn’t think to line up the screw holes of the units should be sacked!!

I'd rather see in order VU, Inserts, sends (in full view), I/O; Automation, EQ curve, Pan per faders, with the inserts, sends and I/O touch sensitive to open and assign them on the S1 IPad. With all that info available on the ipads for the S1, you wouldn't need a secondary Mix screen and just used a very large screen for the Edit window.

With pro tools only 8 faders will work, so you'll have 2 dead faders.

I'm guessing/hoping that it will combine key benefits of the S1 and S3:

- Also audio interface (or maybe an upgraded dock that has interface
- 8 or 16 faders per surface
- Combinable up to 32 faders
- Display screen (or iPad compatible)


I'm hoping for more than one knob but it doesn't seem likely

Don’t laugh, after trying out the S1 and Dock combination in one of the smaller audio suites at work I fell in love
So I opted for an S1 and Dock with a iPad and a T5 tablet for home
Coupled with a new dual band TP-Link router it’s pretty much plug and play!
Although I have to have my computer connected to the TP-Link WiFi network for the tablets to connect Eucon (unexpected but makes sense) it seems to be a great step up from the Artist Control.
