Nope. No error messages. I didn't even get a bug report this time.

This time it stopped at installing plugins. I haven't installed any, I don't even know how.

Did you install the driver for the interface?

Mine crashes on open too. I have a Scarlett Solo, I'm on a MacBook Pro. It's not a huge deal for me. It doesn't crash on startup every single time but it does sort of often. When it does I have to force quit and start it again. It always has worked after at least a couple force quits. Still weird tho honestly and concerning.

Interesting that you too use the Scarlett Solo. When I first began recording I had a problem where Pro Tools was recognizing my interface as a separate input and output and I had to download an updater from Focusrite's website. Focusrite should be notified about this because it may be a problem with the Solo. Does anybody know how I could contact them about this? Maybe they could take a look at this thread.

First things first do not install the driver that came with the Scarlett if you are using pro tools. They have a separate driver you have to download off the pro tools site for it. Secondly if you don't turn up the interface settings in the control panel to the highest quality possible pro tools may or may not recognize your hardware. And if it does you'll hear nothing but static and white noise in your outputs and on your inputs. I've already told focusrite and guitar center about the issues. When the Scarlett works it sounds good but it is not at all compatible with pro tools without a headache
