Pro Tools license can't be activated, listed as 'unavailable'
Hi,
I am trying to reactivate Pro Tools after my subscription lapsed, but Avid Application Manager is completely non functional and just hangs on "Getting subscription data". I have tried: - clearing the AppManager cache - restarting the AppManHelper - restarting my Mac - resetting my master account password Currently I am completely unable to start Pro Tools and use the subscription I am paying for. As well as a musician I am a professional software engineer and have to say it's pretty shocking that Avid would ship software of this low quality. Any tips on how to resolve this? Re: Avid Application Manager not working
Can you give details on your computer?
Not a Mac guy, hopefully someone can chime in. That said, I don't think AppMan is required for Pro Tools to work, you should be able to get your Pro Tools installer from your My Avid site. It sounds more like you need to update your iLok asset. https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare...-support-plan/ Joel

Re: Avid Application Manager not working
After multiple restarts, cache clears, password resets etc I have finally managed to get App Manager to login, and now it says I have no licenses available.
I have tried using iLok manager but it shows my Pro Tools license as 'unavailable' and won't let me transfer it to the iLok key. I already have ProTools installed but it naturally doesn't find the license on the iLok and won't start. My master account shows my subscription as active but 'due to renew on 5th August'. Could that by why it is not working? My computer is an Apple Macbook Pro 2015 edition with macOS Sierra. Last edited by jeffro; 10-17-2017 at 04:36 PM. Reason: Case 03310135. |

Re: Avid Application Manager not working
Welcome to the community.
iLok License Manager is used to activate/deactivate Pro Tools licenses but a problem with your license would prevent that. Will check your account and respond via support case so please watch your email for a case notice.
