Power Conditioner
So I moved into a new house in December and have my studio set up in a bedroom until I get the basement finished. Every so often, I hear about a 5 second buzz through my monitors. I have all my audio and computer gear connected to one outlet. I'm assuming this is some kind of electrical interference but I can't pin it down to any specific device in the house.
I was just wondering if anyone has a recommendation on a power conditioner that would alleviate this issue?

Re: Power Conditioner
I cant guarantee itll solve your issue but the APC SmartUPS series is about the best bang for the buck line interactive UPS with true sine regeneration.

Re: Power Conditioner
I got all excited to share and totally missed the point that youre asking about a conditioner not a UPS.

Re: Power Conditioner
Oh that's cool, I'm not opposed to a UPS/conditioner. I'll check it out - thanks!

Re: Power Conditioner
I'm really not educated as to how these work. Is it something like they take the dirty electrical signals in and output "clean" signals so that there's no interference from outside devices? I was looking at the Furman Power Conditioners at Sweetwater that come in different flavors and prices.

Re: Power Conditioner
We have 4 of these as they deliver a clean supply of power 110/230v and will take the hit if there is any danger spines etc and since we have soo many analog tube gear and expensive stuff we need a lot of inputs so each unit has 10 power input plugs but we need more. Evidently 40 is not enough haha Too much gear.
But well worth the money and very nice to know it is safe. https://www.furmanpower.com/product/...230v-M-10X%20E Called Furman M10X I think they are like 140-150 bucks and you dont need 4 of them

Re: Power Conditioner
Furman is considered overpriced in EU because it is USA made. In here Adam Hall is more popular, even the cheapo Thomann brand t.racks widely used. Whatever gets the job done, after all these won't cost a fortune and are built like a tank no matter the brand

Re: Power Conditioner
Back on the subject of UPS, they are still a wise investment, even with perfectly clean power. And I only recommend APC after having multiple failures with CyberPower. While you don't need a massive UPS, do aim for the middle ground(plan on spending $200 minimum) and be wise about what you connect to the UPS. DO connect computer, monitors, interface and all external drives. DON'T connect preamps, outboard gear, speakers, etc. The idea is to have a reasonable amount of time to save/close and shut down your system in the event of a power sag or outage.
