Default Video output options

Is it possible to drive an external picture display using M-powered on XP? I have a Canopus ADVC-100 but can't see any firewire output options within PT. Maybe this box only works with the Mac in this way. If not this box, would another video card do the trick? Or is there a just way to make the Quicktime window bigger on the screen?

I use 2 PCi express 6600 NVidia cards. both cards are dual head cards with TV outs. They are NOT Sli linked and connected. PCI x card 1 drives LCD 1 and PCIx card 2 drives LCD 2 and a Television. Drag the video to LCD 2 and the video shoukd come full screen on the TV. works fine with MPG and AVI files, have not tested QT movies.
The canopus works only on the Mac.
Search the forum and you'll find in a previous post of mine the exact procedure. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I'll check out your previous posting. One thing though - you say you haven't tested with QT movies. I thought that was the ONLY video format PT would play!! Will it play others?

OK. Now I see how to do it. I was thinking that because the PT menu says "import quicktime movie", that's the only format it works with. But, no, as you say, it will play many other formats!

I was running Quicktime 7 but it was practically freezing my system when I hit play in PT. I have downgraded to QT 6 and now it works fine. Anyone else had this trouble? I'm running M-powered 7.1 on XP.
