Default MacBook gets -9136 error when I touch trackpad

Please help! Brand new MacBook with 2GB memory, using external 80GB Firewire drive for audio, PT LE 7.1.1. I'm playing back a session with about 8 tracks, 6 or 8 basic Digi plugins. As soon as I touch the trackpad I get the -9136 error message "CPU usage is holding off USB audio." I tried plugging in a mouse, and set the system prefs to "ignore trackpad when a mouse is present." Still, I get the error -- INSTANTLY - whenever I touch the trackpad.

Thanks to anyone who can help!
Burt

I should have added that I'm using MBox 1, OS 10.4.6.

you're not alone buddy. Theres another thread on here where we're already discussing it. But yeah like I explained in the other thread it seems as though there is some sort of sleep function on the macbook that puts the keyboard and mouse to sleep after a while to conserve battery power. Then when you touch the trackpad I get that error. When I tried using garageband you can actually hear a skip in the audio once you touch the touch pad or the keyboard.

Hmm, I use the mbox2, but maybe a few ideas to try...

Have you tried uninstalling Pro Tools and Reinstalling? (choose clean uninstall if it asks)
Deleating your database folders on all drives, com.digidesign.ProtoolsLE.plist, and Volumes folder?
Empty trash and restart
Try the other USB port
Recording to the system drive to see if it changes anything?

Maybe find out through Apple what controls their trackpad settings, since Digidesign doesn't support the MacBook (yet). Its the last one to be added to their Intel Mac support page as of yet.
