Sampletank G5, track playback
I am hoping that I can get more tracks out of my new Imac. Here is my setup.
Imac g5 1.8 768 mb ram running Protools LE on Panther Mbox Sampletank 2 LE with SonicSynth samples -->OSX HardDrive idle is off Screen saver off sleep off no networks connected -->Protools playback engine 1024 samples 85% processor usage -->Sampletank all effect channels turned off for sample tracks sample tank is the only PlugIn running through one auxilary With this setup I have only been able to get around 3-4 tracks of playback before this warning is displayed: CPU is holding off USB audio. Remove some Plug-Ins, delete some tracks, or increase the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine dialog box. (-9136) I thought for sure that I would beable to pull more virtual instrument tracks out of a Imac g5. If anyone has any suggestions or anwers to help it would be greatly appreciated.
