For some reason everyone always forget about sound replacer.
I'll stick to your formating.

MPTK2 gains Eleven LE and Structure LE - Drops DINR LE and Sound Replacer
MPTK>MPTK2 49.00 upgrade gains Eleven LE and Structure LE - Keeps DINR LE and Sound Replacer

...and if one was smart about it and put on their engineering hat, they'll be able to squeeze 96 tracks and 50 busses from PT 8 out of the box.

Ok, technically, 48 busses total. Been doing it for years. There's always a solution.

48 busses actually, is just as easy. You have hardware I/O, put it to use with your plug-ins.

Route a patch cable from all your outs back to your ins. These hardware I/O's will also be found in your sends. Sure, we can route a send to outboard gear, but why stop there? Treat your plug-ins like outboard and route that patch cable directly back into an Aux track and there you go, 16 extra busses you never thought you had.

Use the hardware I/O for your Verbs and delays etc and the internal busses for parallel compression/processing etc.

Of course the extra 16 busses will depend on your Digi hardware as it's based on the physical I/O.

Here are my 1-32 busses.

Here are my 33-48 busses.

...and a shot of it in action.

If one is worried about Hardware I/O latency, the Mellowmuse ATA works beautifully with hardware inserts and sends or you can do it old school and calculate the hardware latency into your Verb and delay returns.

Tips from the diehards.

Hope that helps.

Shane

I recently tried the trial version of ATA and didn't like it. Does PTHD ADC create a long delay before you hear your changes? I understand how the ATA program is working but I can't mix with it if I wanna turn a track up, adjust it then 3 seconds later I hear the change.

I'm not seeing this "delay" you describe when I tested ATA. So you applied ATA, hit play, and there was a lag of 3 sec before you heard audio?

Again? You just wanna make me work here.

I'll do a tutorial on searching the DUC for info one day...and just for that, mykhal c has to do a video tutorial on how we get exactly 3G aware with the 3G switch as apposed to 2.7G. You've just been elected for LAA tutorial duty...and we want the tutorial in full blown 1080p HD.

There's about 4 or so ways to get more audio tracks in PT LE to the point were it's CPU dependent.

...and don't forget, an Instrument track can be used as an Aux track.

(Also solo safe the stereo track before you hide it. I didnt show that in those old vids.)
