pro tools HD native not seeing HD i/o

ok so are you saying that if this extension that may pop up needs to be 'allowed', then i may be able to install the HD driver for the PCI card? that is what seems to be the issue, the driver won't install properly or not at all.

that is the problem i was having. the HD driver wasn't installing. not showing up on the system profiler as being there.
but i guess since sierra doesn't support 11, which of course i didn't realize, maybe that why it isn't working properly?
if i could get it to work that would be great, but it is what it is. mavericks is working ok for me, just running out of support for upgrades of plugins, etc...

I have no idea what post you are replying to. If you quote replies it will make it much easier for everybody here. But if you are asking if you get a permissions/security error message on install of some software saying you need to do something and you don't to it will that affect the install? Do you really need us to answer that?

What *exactly* happens when you try to install exactly what driver on exactly what OS? Close all windows and other apps so you don't miss any messages.
