Default How's 12.4 running for you?

Late iMac 2012. 10.9.5 PT 12.4. 32gig 3.2 i5
I've had two crashes since installing two days ago. Other than that, running like a dream. Knocking on wood.
Really like Freeze and the VCAs.

No significant issues. 12.4 with El Capitan. Any little stuff hard to tell if it's Protools, the OS, or third party plugs. Occasional loss of programmed key commands (show/hide the midi window underneath). Freezing BFD3 didn't work so well. I've been committing other VIs just fine, Vienna Instruments, Xpand.

Shockingly, I had almost no issues (so far).

Needed to update the iLok application.
Needed to re-authorize my A.I.R. Instruments (Transfuser, Hybrid 3, Loom etc.)

Opened the same session I'd been using in PT11 and it plays fine (so far).

All other plugins seemed to authorize with no issues:

Waves, Plugin Alliance, Slate, SoundToys, Boz, Komplete, Blue Cat, Arturia, Kush, Sonnox

Not fixed: the same MIDI delay issues I've had with PT for several versions are still there (12.4 didn't fix the timing issues, but that's another thread).

First things noticed: the "wizard" screen (or whatever it's called) is quite different, there's a new "sync" app that launches and asks to update the updater app plus "sync the app", and the Freeze snowflake icon makes the left column of track info wider (takes up screen real estate). That's not really so much in direct response to your post, but in case others are interested.

i7 3.5GHz, 32GB, Mavericks 10.9.5

Three hours after the upgrade tonight and it seemed to be running fine, but that's on Mavericks where I had no issues anyhow.

It said I had another update to install but I have no idea what it's talking about and couldn't find anything to update after the little notification window disappeared.

I like having individual input tracking buttons now, the new load screen is... new, and VCAs will be handy once I figure out how to use them. Freeze will be handy too, but I've gotten into such a habit of printing effects as part of my workflow anyhow. Not sure what "commit" is, but as a guy I'm naturally scared of it.

But for $100? I'm satisfied that I didn't just throw away money like I felt I did on 10.

Oh, that's with a few soundtoys plugs, couple kontakt instances, xpandi2, and reason via rewire all there doing there things. Haven't really loaded up a session with lots and lots of plugins yet to see if there's a performance difference though.

Major issues for me tonight!

Session:
Stereo audio track (1h30m program length) - Ozone 7 insert + one send
Stereo aux track - Ocean Way insert
Master stereo track - FG-X insert

Issues:
Bounce offline hanging at 2:16 or 4:26 'Program Not Responding' - Force quit Pro Tools.
Upon relaunch, session won't play AAE -9093. Pro Tools crashes when quitting.
Restart computer, no AAE error but still hangs on offline bounce.

Tried smaller offline bounces. Tried commit to track on the audio file.
Same issue repeated several times...

Temporary solution:
Looks like UAD's Ocean Way may be the culprit; replaced with ReVibe II (I opted for an Avid product) and now it's working... Not the flavour I was looking for but I can at least proceed with delivery!

I'm running the latest UAD software according to the 'Check for Updates' (8.4.0 10+14+2015 build 13115)... I seem to recall this being an issue when 11 launched with offline bounce with UAD and Waves...

The other thing I noticed was Audio Suite wasn't behaving normally: Audio would only render the length of the selected clip, with handles, not the selected time on the timeline...

My system is like I said in a different post rock solid on both my Mac's running Yosemite, PT 12.4 and UAD Apollo interfaces. PT might be ok for El Capistan but like I said maybe there are other things in you're system making problems..
