how is PT 7.3.1 LE? good? bad? sound off here...
Heya all
I have G5 PPC 2.7 dual and an Intel 2.66 dual Mac Pro.... and a Powerbook G4 17” 1.33... I’m currently running PT LE 7.1 (or similar) on all of the machines, and for the most part - it is working well. I’m considering upgrading to 7.3.1 on all of them. If you have upgraded to LE 7.3.1, and have any good or bad experiences, please post them here. I don’t use any MIDI or instrument plugins at all - I simply mix audio. Altiverb and Echoboy, and DV toolkit 2 are the main plugs I use on the desktop machines. (mostly G5 currently) thanks MixerGuy |

Nothing negative happened when I upgraded from 7.1 to 7.3.1. I still got occasional "the processor has held offf interrupts..." messages, but at least now they can be suppressed until I mix. Then, I crank the buffers to 1024 and don't have problems.
I really like and use the right-click mouse options in 7.3. That has definitely improved workflow. I haven't gotten into all the screensets (as they're called in Logic) now available in 7.3, but I'm sure I will find them useful soon.

I'm enjoying the handful of features and haven't had any problems. I can't figure out how to keep the solo button from latching. I like to have it toggle and can no longer find the option in the preferences.

I've upgraded to 7.3 (m-powered)and a couple of my plug-ins had to be removed to get it to load.
I know im in the wrong forum, but i saw you use Altiverb which is one of the plug-ins that i had to remove. might be worth hanging on a bit? |

I've been using Altiverb 5 with no issues myself. There may be a small update on the Audioease site, but checking for the latest plugin versions is something I regularly do anyways - especially if I'm upgrading the main app or OS.

I understand that now there is a new display to show how automation is written.......how does it look?
is it a dotted red line behind the waveform? (like in DP) if you glance at the edit window, can you tell immediately if automation has been written on a track? that feature alone would be worth it for me. |
