Will Pro Tools 7.1.1 work on new core 2 duo iMacs?

I just purchased one of the newly released 24 inch iMacs released today. They now sport the Intel Core 2 Duo processors which is the next generation of the core duo processor. My question is if anybody know wether Pro Tools will run on this new configuration or is digidesign going to have to come out with an update for it? Any info would be appreciated.

These new iMacs (24 inch) look incredible. Giant screen, Core Duo Intel...graphics card....

Still checkin to see if anyone know if pro tools will work with the new core 2 duo iMacs. I figure they'll probably come out with a FULL QUALIFIED UPDATE for the core 2 duo processor but I need to know if it will at least run in the mean time. If anyone figures this out please let me know.

We're not aware of any changes that would make them not work, but they won't be officially supported until our Engineering and Test Services department are able to qualify them. We have release models on order from Apple that should arrive shortly.
