install Pro Tools to audio drive?
I'm wondering if Pro Tools LE should be installed on the separate audio drive or onto the system drive. I presently have it installed on the system (C:) drive with my sessions saved onto the separate audio drive. I have a lot of problems with Pro Tools LE failing to start recording or playback, and requesting that I increase (or decrease) the H/W buffer size in the playback setup menu. The manual is not specific concerning which drive they recommend installing the program to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: install Pro Tools to audio drive?
You want protools on your system drive. When you create new sessions, create them on your audio drive. Your problems sound like a setup issue. If you have a compatible motherboard, double-check your settings per the getting started booklet. Especially about setting your hard drives to operate in DMA mode.
