I can imagine it's no small task...

However, you've been dodging the question an little... Will student who bought Pro Tools 9, irrelevant of whether it was before or after October 1st, get the free upgrade as promised at the time of purchase??

Can you give a situation where someone wouldn't qualify for the free upgrade. (having acquired the student version of PT9 completely within the rules)

I'm betting your servers are pretty idle tonight.

I wont count on Avid's integrity. they have none. Am I the only one who noticed that Avid's stock dropped on the day they announced that they are upgrading to 10? Maybe if they spend time fixing the bugs instead of slapping a 10 on the same broken product and then charging $300 to upgrade the product that barely works. hope one day they would spend the time to develop a working ASIO driver for Windows 7. but they already got my money.

My next investment is RME and Cubase

I registered my CROSSGRADE student version of Pro Tools 9 (which I might add purchased on September 28th, 4 days before the October 1st "free upgrade period) but there wasn't anything that noted free upgrades for 4 years. If I got the CROSSGRADE and not the full version but its still the student edition, will I still receive a free upgrade?

I'm looking into the specifics for student editions - this is not my territory, so I'll have to wait for a reply for someone 'in the know' which likely won't happen until tomorrow.

I bought the upgrade to PT9 Academic a while ago so I am also very exited about this. It was supposed to be all upgrades for 4 years, so I feel good about this.

9.0.5 has not been kind to my Lion install, but I hate booting up in SL. Hopefully this will fix everything.
