Fast Track C400 - noise/artifacts

Hello!

I was casually hanging around and playing guitar when the monitors I have plugged to the outputs of the interface started crackling and after a second came a buzz. After that the sound was gone from the system, but ASIO still managed to work. I noticed noise/artifacts coming out of the headphone output. I managed to get the sound back after reinstalling drivers, but the artifacts still are audible in the headphone output. I wonder what happened, how to fix that and if it is not able to be fixed is it under warranty?
