Pro Tools 6.4 Hanging
Hello, I'm using Pro Tools 6.4 on Mac OS X (I believe it's 10.1). I have two hard drives in it. The original hard drive and an additional 300gb Maxtor hard drive.
I try to open a session on the drive and it simply hangs. It'll load everything, but then the beach ball will just continue to spin. I just force quit it. I decided to try copying it to the "Macintosh HD". After it was done copying, I open the session and it loads fine. So, I tried fixing permissions on both the drives. Clearing the Pro Tools preferences, clearing the database files, and everything that was suggested to be done. I decided to take the hard drive out and test the hard drive with a Hard Drive Diagnostic utility. It says the HD is fine. Both of them. Now, I'm beginning to think that it's some sort of setting inside of Pro Tools or disk permissions. The hard drive is formatted in Mac OS Extended and is journaling. I appreciate all the help. |
