Default 29.97 DF to Non Drop!

I recieved some stems that were transferred incorrectly into Pro Tools at 29.97 DF. I need them to be 29.97 NDF, I only have 1 Pro Tools rig, is there a way to convert these files to play at the correct frame rate? Please let me know, thanks all.

hiya,

drop and non-drop do not affect speed, only the measuring stick. they bothe are 29.97 frames per second. your DF stems should play in sync with a ND movie.

yes, convert your session to NDF and resync the files using the 2-pop. if there is no 2 pop, create one using the signal generator before you change your session framerate.

Just FYI, for each hour, the difference between drop and non-drop is 3 seconds, 18 frames. So, if your drop frame session starts at hour one, retard all the audio 00:00:03:18 to get it in sync with the non-drop picture. Of course, if you are using digital video, you will have to re-spot the picture after you change the frame rate in your session.
