Default Drop out\'s

I've used PT for many years and I've NEVER had this problem.

PT7 is giving me drop out's often..... as in every 10 seconds or so. I've checked and re-checked every Digi trick (prefs and buffer size and permissions, digi link cables, d-subs and on and on)

Anyone have this problem with PT7??????

I'm getting Drop-outs in 6.9.1 OS 10.3.8. Not nearly as often as you it seems, but it ruined a voice-over take yesterday. scary. It will start dropping out every 10 sec like you said every now and then but closing and reopening the project temporarily fixes it. Fortunately I use Logic Pro for most of my work which is working fine. Anyone know what might be the issue?

Can you please post specific information on your system - computer model, OS version, drive types, etc?

The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for us to troubleshoot.

Sure,

Mac G5 dual 2.0.
4.3 OS
HD 2
192
3 Seagate 300 gig drives

All installs are clean since PT7. I've checked and re-checked all preferences, buffer settings and parameters. Pitched pref's. Verified and repaired permissions. Tried copying sessions to various drives including my application drive. I've checked the Digi-link cable and all d-subs. I've re-seated the cards.
