Default Question about purchasing a used 001

I'm interested in buying a used 001.. but one of the sellers does not have the software for Mac... so, two questions:

1) is the software replaceable, by him or by me?

2) if I buy a used 001, will the registration be transferrable into my name or am I better off buying a new one?

Thanks, Todd

In Australia it's called "recieving".

Stolen goods that is. How could someone have a breakout box ie. '001 without the software?

Why will he need a chicken to go with his 001?

Check with Digidesign, however 001 ships with both Mac and Windows discs.

The only thing I use the digi box for is controlling the volume of my monitors. If you do like many of us, get different mic preamps and A/D converters, the box becomes superfluous. But of course you do need the software.

1.Make sure the seller is registered, then pay Digidesign the transfer fee of something like $50 to be the newly registered owner, request the current ver.5 software for mac.

2.You're better off buying a new one.
