Yea well ... I find it useful if let's say I am in the mastering process I could do with a friend abroad in his studio treating few tracks within the project and resending the project itself to me without having to upload download relink bla bla bla .... I mean it's useful !

Still have to use the Quartz Debug-trick, and still getting the weird CPU-overloads, so unfortunately it doesn't seem that I'm as lucky as you.

EDIT: uploaded a video, spotlight-indexing turned off, wi-fi off, only dropbox running, 1 instance of addictive keys, 32 buffer size

Also this was with all default plugins plus Addictive Keys in the plug-in folder.
I did not experience this with MiniGrand and all default plug-ins, though I believe the tendencies were there since MiniGrand hovered around 7-10% then spiked up to 29-33% every 5-10 seconds or so.

If anyone has any clues, I would be grateful!

I didn't say I was surprised. Seems you are surprised.

It was a tough review and he made some good points.

Sounds like a good idea... may be in certain circumstances.

But music people are control freaks and the bottle-necks in transferring real time will drive them crazy.

Will Avid get a percentage all of completed material on their servers?
After all, it's really not a cloud... and hardware costs could be heavy.

Of course it's a great idea. But the concerns are bandwidth, security, and data loss. If all of those hurdles are overcome then it will be nice, but I'm not sure what Avid can do to speed up internet bandwidth. Is it really useful to collaborate if you're sitting around waiting long periods of time for uploads/downloads to happen? Depending on how long those times are, sometimes, yes. Other times, probably not.

I think most people already do collaboration in some form or another.

Well, of course. That's why they are implementing all the new meta data features. That way they can track and monetize (in their direction) content created in Protools. See, now Avid not only makes money off of their own products and support, but also the creative efforts of people using their stuff.
