iLok License Manager version 5.1.1 works fine here with Pro Tools 2019.6 - but it's Pro Tools 2019.10 that's suffering the restart problem with iLok License Manager 5.1.0 - that's why I suggested updating to 5.1.1

You could also use ILM 5.0.3

The Pace installer included with 2019.6 is (5.0.3.2569).

PT has just started doing this for me almost routinely out of the blue. Been running 2019.6 happily for months on Windows 10 Pro 1803, since yesterday pretty much every close of PT is then immediately followed by a restart of the app. It may be crashing on exit, not sure, and then doing the restart as a "helpful" measure.

Anyone else had this? Any ideas why it happens? I might try installing .10 next week otherwise. Thanks in advance.

Uninstall your iLok License Manager (probably version 5.1.0)

Run CCleaner & CCleaner Registry then restart computer

Install iLok License Manager version 5.1.1
(Smooth sailing here with iLok License Manager 5.1.1 & PT 2019.6)

When using CCleaner Registry, after "Scan for issues" and "Fix selected issues" I always hit "Yes" to "back up the registry before making changes" in My Documents>CCleaner>Registration Entries

Thanks again - looks like in my case just updating iLok to 5.1.1 has done the trick. Two normal shut downs after using PT in anger, and no un-called for restarts. :)

An update for the iLok License Manager (5.1.1) is now available that fixes the issue.
