Default How do I open a PC session on Mac 5.2.1, pc/mac enforce box was not checked ????

Hello,

First time post here. I just recently acquired some pro tools pc sessions which were recorded with the digi 001 so I'm assuming it ver 5.1 or 5.2.1 and I am trying to open them on Mac ver 5.2.1 on the digi 001. The PC sessions were not checked enforce pc/mac enforce so mac is saying it is not a valid Pro Tools session when I try to open it. How do I open the session? I do not have a way to go back to the original Pro Tools sessions on the PC and resave with the enforce button checked. Am I out of luck?

Hi. Welcome.

Does PT5 have a "Import session data" function? I once was a 001, PT5 user myself, but I can't remember. That would be one way of getting to the tracks.

I suspect the import function came in a later version. But still, if it came in, say v 8, you might very well be able to import the tracks directly from the v 5 pc sessions into new PT 8 mac sessions, but I'm not shure.

Anyway, you better be prepared to do a lot of rebuilding sessions work.
