Digi, I'm scared

Hello everyone,

I'm about to get my 001 next week and I'm getting more than a little scared about ..."the exploding sound". I checked just how long this has been going on for, and how inconsistantly it ocurres on various systems. I'm feeling like I'm about to step into the UNKNOWN, or even worse, THE KNOWN FOR SOME TIME!

Does anyone feel the same or have any new purchasers worst nightmares come true.

Hi Log, te be tru with you i thought this topic about the exploding sound was very terrible, but the truth is that has never happened to me, i think that the point comes when you're using the Wave Plug-ins, so, don't use'em... What can i say, the Digi001 is the best I've tried to record with, the quality is outstanding, so go ahead and have no doubt !!!

Gold bundle for two months, 001 for 10 months..Go for it.

I got the exploding sound once when I first got the unit. running the the "be there" tutorial. But it hasn't happened since.

Got the exploding sound once on PC, but hasn't happened on Mac yet and hopefully never does.
Great sound quality, especially cosidering the cost. The mic pre's could do with a little more gain, but overall a great system

No explosions for me since Waves update in mid 2000.

I wish this thread was nearly as long as the opposing ones....explosions for me are a way of life (an embarrasing one, albeit)...I'm just holding my breath and waiting for a fix...and waiting...and waiting....
Otherwise, I love my 001 (what a conflict of emotions). Good luck, Dean
