Space IR installation issue

I'm not able to import/install IR into Space. I go in Space edit menu and choose Install IR Space Package, after selecting a TLS file and press install a message tell me that "One or more files were not written".

Check the installation folder permissions. Should be read/write for all.

Hi,
I am having the same problem. What do you mean "Check the installation folder permissions?" Which folder? The plug-in installed ok, and now I have the downloaded IR's sitting one. I changed the permissions on the IR folder (and enclosed items) but no improvement. Plus, where is this cryptic log the error and manual refer to?

The folder where Space unpacks and installs the IRs is the one that needs to have the permissions fixed.

Mac: /Users/Shared/Avid/Space/Impulse Responses
Win: \Users\Public\Avid\Space\Impulse Responses

I would change permissions on every folder inside the the Space folder itself. The impulse response folder and every category folder (hall, room, etc.). I fixed this by copying the files from another partition where the old Tl Space was already installed. Now I have saved the ir folder along with other installers. In case of other future issues, I will already have the ir folder ready to be copied into the right location

Great, thanks for the clarification! Is there any way to just drag these packages into that folder and have them recognized? I'm doing it one-by-one with the Edit > Install Space IR Pkg, and it's really tedious...

Unfortunately they are in a proprietary format and only Space can unpack them. And as you've discovered, Space can only do 1 at a time.

Just for someone else that is reading this thread, I think you are talking about importing IRs other than the default IRs that come with Space, correct?

The latest Space installer includes the separate Install Impulse Responses.pkg which installs all of the default IRs for Space in one installation.
