Default 2 questions

So I am finally getting back to my Protools again. I had a few questions.

When importing loops, then executing a batch fade, a dialogue is sometimes prompted:
-area out of bounds or something like that-
then an option to adjust which is the only course to continue. Would this ever create a timing issue?

What are your favorite midi/inst plugs??
