Registration problems - unable to extend Update Plan or get 3P plugins

I had the same registration problem and can't extended my existing annual pro tools plan for one year more.

When I received carbon I had to test it and get work done. Now I had contact to the support and hopefully get this worked out. I really like carbon and don't need two plans and one year more would be nice.

nstu, what was your case number for registration? I see case 04080523 but don't see a response back from you. Let me know so we can help get to the bottom of it.

Well I am going to find out soon about registering because my Carbon just shipped from my dealer

Cool! I predict you’ll not have any issues, though. Mark C has been working through things with me, and am certain he’ll get it all sorted out.

You don’t need to register it to get started though. Once connected and setup as a network interface, when you fire up PT it’ll do its thing and download the current firmware.

Heck by the time you get yours, I’m sure registering will be all smoothed out.

Let us know what you think! I am really happy with mine. I can see Avid adding to it as time goes on.

It is the 04089924 for the registration problem. Status is "Case in Queue"

The other 04080523 was about the fan problem with my Mac Pro. But since an update of carbon all is fine now.

Just a quick update ,,got my Carbon yesterday (Thursday) and got it up and running without issue. I was able to simply choose to extend my PT Ultimate Update and Support Plan during registration , which went right thru and am now good through Jan 30 2022 as expected .

The firmware update was just a bit confusing as I selected to do it. But it didn't show the actual progress bar until I rebooted and opened PT again .

The rest was easy pizzey Simply select Carbon as the device and I was off and running .

The Carbon itself is pretty straight forward and intuitive for me , perhaps because it is pretty similar to my old OMNI in layout but with a few more selections.

I will do some recording today to check the DSP mode But so far it is great.

Unfortunately I am still waiting on the custom built DB25 's I have coming, to get my other outboard Reverb and Compressor hardware units going, but will simply play with the plugins in the mean time .
