Default Roland TD6 set-up

Does anyone have any insight on setting up a Roland TD-6 module recording midi into an external application like Reason or PT5?

For some reason I am only able to get two of the pads on my kit to trigger anything. I've read the manual and searched the web (to no avail). I thought it was worth a post.

I believe it's a midi setting in the TD6 itself that is causing my problem, but I'm not sure what.

Thanks,
