Audition Path in PT7

I'm wondering why since 6.9 Digi has cut the option for setting the audition path trougth digital outs in the 002R. Since I use an external converter connected to the ADAT port of the 002R I'm not able to hear any files and any preview in PT.
I hope this has been fixed in PT7.
Please, can anyone of you who have already installed PT7 check it?

no, they didn´t fix it. it seems to be many, many months since so many of us have asked for that. no spdif and adat audition paths here on pt le 7. lets keep on waiting...

but i wonder if there is any sense behind that. maybe the truth is simply that they have no manpower or time to rewrite the codes. i don´t know.

Hey, Digi why don't you fix this?
Is this a way to force us to buy an HD?
I'm not sure, but from what I remember, audition path through digital worked on 6.7.
If this is a bug please fix it, if this is a your commercial choice I think is a bad one.
I think folks around there want to have more when updating, not less.

I've had a few versions of ptle and ive never seen an option to audition through digital outs?!! Is definately something that would be cool but I dont think it can work because the Core Audio driver is already in use for Pro Tools. It's like the fact you cant have Itunes coming through your digital outs while pro tools is using them i guess.

Maybe you're right. And like I've just said, I'm not sure this option was available in 6.7. Maybe my brain is going...
But in LE you can use all analog and digital ports simultaneously. Therefore it sounds that the Digi Core Audio manage analog and digital ports. But if Digi would like to say something about that it would be appreciated.

It did work on 6.7 and I not exactly sure why they took it away. The response I got from DIGI is that they are aware and going to fix the problem. Why it is not fixed on version 7 I have no idea. I got this response when 6.9 was first released, they have had plenty of time to fix!!

Thought I would BUMP this. Kind of a pain working without SPDIF audition. Worked fine (mirrored with analogue inputs) with my Digi001. 2 steps forward, 1 step back!
