Default PT9 HD Native...whats your setup, how is it..advice?

I have an HD1 setup, 192 i/o with an 8 core mac pro with 32gb of memory and four 2TB sata drives all running PT 8. I upgraded to the HD1 with the intent of moving to an hd2 setup (or hd3)as needed. Well it's been time for a couple months now but I was waiting to see if a new card or 64bit version of pro tools was going to be released...and it wasn't. I mostly use the equipment to do edits changes to transport to a larger studio. I have however started doing some minor recording at home.

I will either purchase at least one pcie accel card or sell the HD core, 192 i/o and "upgrade" to version 9 native and some other non-Avid interface like an Apogee ensamble or symphony. For those of you running HD without a "real" Pro-tools interface how are things going? What is your feedback?

JohnnyZ,
Are you using your 01V96 as a remote control surface? If so, are you satisfied with the functionality?
I am looking to upgrade to PT9 and this is a critical decision point for me.
Thanks,
BluDru

I did in the past use the 01v96 as a control surface and it worked fine, right now i am using it's adat out and in to the avid hd io .Right now i am using a mackie universal. If you want really tight intergration i would look at a command 8 or a euphonix mc control.jz
