Repeated AAE 6101 Errors in PT11 w/ Mavericks
After searching the boards for a few days I haven't been able to find a similar post with a solution that worked for me so I would really appreciate any input.
After the announcement of Mavericks compatibility for PT11, I went ahead and updated my OS. Unfortunately, after a few minutes of use in any session (with/without plugs and regardless of number of tracks) I begin getting CPU overload error messages (regardless of buffer size). System usage only shows me using approx 12% of my total CPU. I've installed Waves Gold Bundle, BFD3, and most recent UA plugs and drivers. Not sure where else to go. I remember when I had this problem on PT9 I selected 1 processor (instead of 2) in the preferences and it solved the issue. That option doesn't seem available in PT11 though. I missed the fact that PT 10.3.8 couldn't be clean uninstalled in Mavericks. Could this be the cause? If so, how do I do a manual clean uninstall? Thanks so much for any help! Re: Repeated AAE 6101 Errors in PT11 w/ Mavericks
I feel your pain kelcywhite, thanks for posting. I'm having the same issues and increasing buffer size has absolutely no effect. I've attached a screenshot of what I keep seeing, regardless of the amount of tracks/plugins. I only have one plugin going on this particular session but that doesn't seem to matter. I had the problem pop in when I was even just setting up my click track. Hoping someone will respond to this with some answers. My system info is below:

Re: Repeated AAE 6101 Errors in PT11 w/ Mavericks
Apogee Duet 2 has serious issues with USB on the new imacs. Best solution I have heard working is adding a Belkin Thunderbolt Dock and running from there. Many have also reported issues with Fusion drives in these setups - either just SSD or Spinning drive reccomended (though possibly you cn split your fusion drive).
Long thread on Gearsluz about this with Apogee folk weighing in. From post 269 on is the main points... http://www.gearslutz.com/board/music...w-imacs-9.html
