Default Joe Meek, Classic Compressors etc

Hey everybody

Pro Tools HDX PCIe 11.3.2 Win 7 64 bit

Has anybody figured out how to get the Classic Compressor, Joe Meek, Moogerfooger plug ins from PT 8 to work without the stupid iLok authorization popping up?

I've read so many things but nothing seems to work.

thanks!

You most likely need the newer install versions

What v do you have on your Ilok?

Moogerfooger, Fairchild, Calssic Comps are all V4
Joe Meek is VC5 SC2

On the Avid download page it sends me to a link that doesn't work.

Are there updated AAX versions? Remember, i've had these since PT 8.

thanks!!

Well, I downloaded the 18.1 versions of all three and they're working (for now).

Now let's hope the iLok will allow my Slate stuff to work. I keep getting the same authorization error with certain Slate plugs.

Jeez, I frikkin' HATE iLok. More trouble than it's worth, honestly.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. As for me, after restoring system drives once or twice, I'll take iLok over every other option except Waves on a USB stick. These 2 systems work for me every time(and when either doesn't, a simple uninstall/re-install solves the issue)

I pretty much agree with this. I've discarded most of the computer based auth plug-ins. Way to much hassle on an OS rebuild.

I'm sure there are a million stories on each side.
From my experience I've had several issues that always pointed to iLok.

Example - Eventide plug ins - I have the 910 and Ultra Channel. When I installed them it triggered an iLok dialog box that had me re-install "InterLok" drivers that, despite updating to the current iLok manager nothing worked until I eventually re installed Pro Tools.

Agreed, licenses on a dongle is a good idea but I've never had issues with Waves like I do with iLok.

Oh, let's not trade stories about iLoks!

I seem to have my older plug ins all updated and everything seems fine.

Thanks for responding to my questions!!
