Default Please help me uninstall so I can try reinstalling!

I have a nice new Acer with plenty of Ram using XP and have been trying to install Pro Tools 7.3 LE.

My husband tried to put it on with Explorer 8 loaded and that didn't work. It now has version 7.

I want to uninstall so I can try reinstalling it. When I used the uninstall option on the control panel, it didn't delete. There is no uninstall option in any of the folders there. I tried to get to the uninstall section I read about it on the install disk but the program freezes.

Now when I go to uninstall on the control panel, and when I put the disk in, it says there is already version of Protools on the computer and that I need to go to the control panel to uninstall it.

Please, please, please, someone help me!

Search the DUC for "PTnuke". Its a little utility that removes all of a PT installation. PT8 includes a utility on the disk(in case you wanted to buy the updated version).

You may also want to do a Forum search for Acer and have a look at the Compatibility documents. Acer is normally a no-go with Pro Tools.

Cheers,
