Default Wow !!! f****** great gear

I just return from a long day in a studio.
I've been hired to record and mix a song for a singer. So I went to a studio equiped with an Amek 9098 and a IZ Radar 24 (48 tracks).
I have never work on that board, let me tell you it's amazing, awsome pre-amp. The new Radar sound very very good. I recorded in 24bits / 48 khz (it can record to 96k) to maintain a compatibility with Protools. Another thing: the rack is full of nice things, like 6 1176ln, dbx 165, Voxbox, Apogee converters for mixdown, 480L, Eventide dsp4000, and the mics, 6 U-67, 2 M149, C12, C24, Shoeps, name it... Despite the fact that we didn't have much time to try things, it went well.

I had to talk to you guys about it.
I'll try to sleep now...

DanyL,
did you just get Mixerman's job ? So he finally gave up ? Did Fingaz drown while on the cruise ?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">i'm glad you enjoyed yourself. there's nothing like a real studio and i'm sure you now have a better appreciation for why it's wiser to save your money and buy top-notch gear rather than settle for music store junk

DanyL:

Read the OT - Cool Story thread. Mixerman is a professional engineer in LA that is chronicling a project from day to day in a web diary for all to read. He's changed the names of the not so innocent to things like DumbAss, Willy Show, etc.
It's quite a read.

Yes DanyL, sorry about being obscure, couldn't resist the joke.
If you have the time, go and enjoy Mixerman's Diary with the link Steve Moore gave. You'll understand why you mentioning the Radar made me smile.
No offense intended !
Cheers and enjoy the big boy's toys !
