XMON issue
Hi,
Twice today I've experienced an issue where, for a lack of better wording, the XMON stops managing monitor volume and lets everything through unattenuated. I'm unsure whether it blasted on all outputs at once (incl alt/minis) as I stopped playback as soon as possible, but all speakers kept hissing angrily until turned off.. My D-Command will report 'XM Off' when this happens. After the first occurrence, I power toggled all units (XMON/ICON/interfaces/computer, etc.) but D-Command still reported 'XM Off' until I hit/entered the 'Utility' menu, at which time the hissing stopped (only had my alt speakers turned on at this point as the volume can be adjusted manually on them) and exiting the menu reports 'XM On'. Mixing again (only on alts, volume turned down via pot this time), the same thing happened again a few hours later (but without scaring the $h!t out of me). Any ideas on how to fix this? |
