Default how to contact avid?? i need new licens for lost ilok

i lost my ilok
it's covered by ZDT zero down time so i got temporary licenses for my software

TLC theft & lost was not activated for the ilok which is HUGE PITA, but this is another story...

so i need to ask avid (and every other software company) for new licenses to make my temporary licenses permanent before they expire.

how can i contact AVID????

i get mails, newsletters, advertisement everything on my e-mail from avid and i can't possibly get in touch without paying, is this how it works??



help is greatly appreciated.

the bitter truth is:

you can't

there is a contact form somewhere if you are lucky enough to detect it. at least i got a 'hello chris' before the sentence where they were asking for money.

and don't buy the ilok license-transfer-code for transferring your PT-license to the new ilok. you need the Pro Tools software ASC. and good new! that one is only slightly more expensive...

You can always address them on Twitter. I got their attention that way about possibly re-setting my 30 day trial window because of all the headaches I was having in getting iLok to work. They did reach out to me and ask for my iLok account to do so. I find most companies are very hesitant to ignore potential issues in such a public forum like Twitter.

the policy is quite clear

1. squeezing a little more money out of their customers
2. hiding behind a broker they implemented
3. trying to sell this as a customer support...

truth is, they got me by the balls. it's no fun being a avid customer...
