Catalina 10.15.4

Does any one know when PT will be ready for Catalina 10.15.4? I accidentally upgraded (rather I didn't read the numbers right) and now nothing works

PT 2020.3 works very well with Catalina 10.15.4 if you take the time to do a clean install. Updates never work so nicely

According to a posting in the compatibility area on May 8, Catalina 10.5.4 not supported. There's an OS lockup of some kind and Thunderbolt 2 spinning disc drives are more susceptible. I'm holding off on jumping to Catalina because of this.

I am using 10.15.4 & 2020.3 and have backup spinner on TB2, zero problems after I did clean install. Mind you, there is a world of difference between upgraded Catalina and a fresh super clean install

Just got in a new MBP 16 inch today. It came with 10.15.4 pre-installed.



I re-installed the OS and it was still 10.15.4 which must have been the original OS they are shipping now.

Wipe your system drive to zeros, install OS from ground up, do not use any kind of migration or clone software to get your system up and running but install every ducking piece of software from installers

10.15.4 and 2020.5 running flawless here. Did a clean install but migrated all apps from a CCC drive. I must say I was suprised to see how the Mac Mini ran soooooo much better on Catalina. Video performance has improved greatly! Even with the built in GPU but of course the eGPU is still much better but if you are doing just audio the built GPU is getting the job done nicely on Catalina. Its like I have a new computer and it wasn't bad before.
