NEED HELP WITH PROJECTMIX I/0 AND M-POWERED 7.0
Hi. I just got the Projectmix and Pro Tools M-powered 7.0. For some reason, protools defaults to a stereo input/output setup. When I go to the I/O screen to change it to accept all the channels from the m-audio, for some reason, I can't save the settings. There is no "okay" button to press, like it shows in the pro tools manual. The project mix is interacting fine with the system, but I can't get it to record on all the channels because of the lack of an "okay" button on the I/O settings screen. Has anyone else had this problem, or is there some way of getting the okay button to show up? I've tried shrinking the screen, scrolling, pounding my fist on the table, and even yelling a consistent stream of profanities at the computer with no luck. If anyone thinks they can help me, I can email a screen shot to show you what I'm talking about.

Re: NEED HELP WITH PROJECTMIX I/0 AND M-POWERED 7.
Unfortuantely I have no answer for you but I am seriously considering a Project Mix
myself and I really hope that this is only a bug. I seem to remember reading somewhere that all input and output channels are avalable to use in Mpowered 7.0. It better not be some kind of marketing thing to cripple it's capabilities so that it would'nt outperform the Digi002. It would be really lame to have only 2 I/O's in Pro Tools. I've also noticed that no one from Digi has repsonded to this thread wich isn't a good sign. Let me know how you make out with this situation......

Yeah, this would be good to know. I was going to order one of these tomorrow, but not unless I can get all 18 tracks into pro tools via the firewire connection... interesting....

i think u need to push export settings and then name it...then press ok...so next time u create a project don't use the "Last used" I/O setting, use the settings u exported from the dropdown menu from the I/O settings

Re: NEED HELP WITH PROJECTMIX I/0 AND M-POWERED 7.
Unfortunately, I discovered today that the 18-input / 14-output spec on the ProjectMix is not correct. In fact, a max of 16-inputs and 12-outputs can be employed. The issue is the digital i/o's - you have to choose between optical or coaxial i/o. You cannot use both at the same time

Actually the 18 inputs derives 8 inputs from the ADAPT or whatever is is called port. It is actually 10 input, less your 2, making it 8 ins!
