Default Isolation with upright bass

so I've got a home studio, but its fairly well setup(as Im sure most of you are) to the point where I have paying clients and what not, but its still basically one big room with another room to stick people when I must but no sightlines for that room. anyway, I go to school for jazz performance so Im always dealing with upright bass scenarios and have yet to devise a satisfactory way to isolate the upright sound from the drums. as it happens they almost always want sightlines(so splitting the room isnt an option) and Ive tried using mattress foam and what else for baffling but in the end the bleed is always still unbearable to the point where I end up using primarily a line sound for the mix. I realize in a small room the sound bouncing around is inevitably gonna end up in the bass' condensor but does anyone have any ideas for other baffling, better angles or anything like that?

Put them in seperate rooms and get a pair of cheap flatscreen TV's and some little security cameras(maybe even a pair of USB computer cameras)?
